Culina Designs’ Sealabag Product Review
We’ve moved to a part of town where recycling is big business. We don’t just have 4 different colour-coded bins to separate our food, waste and paper etc. No, we also have to make sure we are using the right bin liner to house the rubbish, otherwise the bin men just won’t take them. So, we have about 4 different types of bin liners in the house; heavy duty black bin liners, slightly smaller white bin liners, bathroom bin liners and the biodegradable food bin liners. It gets quite tedious at times, but at least we’re doing our bit to save the environment.
Culina Designs found a gap in the market where people would want to automate the bin tying process after they’ve filled their bin liners up with waste. Hence, the Sealabag was born.

What do we think of the Sealabag?
I found the Sealabag to be quite tricky to mount onto any of our cupboards in the kitchen. It’s quite bulky, so you really do need to leave a healthy sized gap between the edge of the door and the Sealabag, so you can open and close the cupboard door properly. However, I really enjoyed automating the bin tying process and used the Sealabag on a lot of food bags, which I then placed into the fridge for safe storing.
The Sealabag may not be a necessity, but it’s definitely a product that simplifies the work of tying bin bags and food bags in the kitchen and makes it a little more user friendly.
What to watch out for:
With a little bit too much pressure (thanks to hubby) the tape broke off, so we weren’t sure of how to fix the Sealabag to continue using it. I think you have to be quite careful when using large bin bags.
Rating:
3.5 out of 5 – On the whole, I like having a nifty gadget like the Sealabag in my kitchen – and the colours match my kitchen theme of red, black and grey!
